Kentucky Rules

The Kentucky Constitution, Section 116 empowers the Kentucky Supreme Court to promulgate rules of practice and procedure for the Kentucky courts.  The Supreme Court sets forth the operation rules for the courts and establishes general procedures.  The rules are grouped into the following categories: 

      Kentucky Supreme Court Rules

      Kentucky Rules of Civil Procedure
      Kentucky Rules of Criminal Procedure

The Kentucky Rules are included in the Kentucky Revised Statutes Annotated. The KRS volumes include case annotations and references to scholarly articles.
